You can buy more covers from an array of stunning designs. But if you have some lovely fabric that you’d like to use, it’s really straight forward. Cut your fabric to size using our template and clip into place. An instant change and a unique bag.

No. They’re much more flexible. A made-to-order bag is designed to a customer’s requirements at purchase but can’t be changed once you’ve bought it.

The Stitchsmith clutch can be customised again and again. You can change the Stitchsmith clutch as often as you change your outfit.

Each clutch comes fully assembled, however you can then transform its appearance by changing the outer fabric of the bag. It’s simple: you remove the metal outer frames on each side of the bag and switch the fabric covers underneath, similar to changing a photograph in a photo frame.

Yes. After we’ve launched we will sell a range of ready-made fabric covers on our website with patterns from our team of up-and-coming textile designers.

The Stitchsmith clutch is designed to be elegant and stylish but still big enough to fit your essentials (including a plus-sized smart phone if you have one).

Inner dimensions: 171mm x 85mm x 45mm
Outer dimensions: 192mm x 107mm x 56mm.

You can! All you need is some fabric you love, scissors and a pair of our foam templates. You can make a cover from almost any fabric (silks, leathers, cottons…) whether it’s new fabric you’ve fallen in love with or a favourite old item of clothing you want to upcycle.

When you buy your clutch we’ll give you two pairs of adhesive foam templates. You’ll need one pair of templates to re-cover your clutch. Stick the template onto your fabric and then cut the fabric to size. Simply clip into place. Once the clutch is in production, you will be able to purchase further pairs of foam templates directly from our website.

Not really. The only thing to consider is that as the fabric clips onto the bag, the border of the fabric can’t be more than 1mm thick. Otherwise, if you love it, use it!

Yes. Choose a frame colour you love from a selection of gold, silver and rose gold. Once you’ve decided on your frame you can customise the clasp and strap of your clutch and change them as easily as you change the cover.

Clasp: the clasp on the bag has been designed to be easily removed and customised. We’ll give you two pairs of clasps when you buy your bag but do visit the website often to check on the latest additions to the range.

Straps: We’ll give you a shoulder strap and a wrist strap when you buy your bag. Customising the straps and accessories makes such a difference to the look of the bag, so once the bag is in production we’ll definitely be adding more designs to our range for you to choose from.

When you purchase a Stitchsmith clutch we’ll give you all the components you need to create multiple looks, all for the price of one bag.

Yes. By giving you so many ways to customise, the Stitchsmith clutch is designed to reduce waste: you only need one clutch for all occasions. It also allows you to upcycle materials you already have.
